Three groups are offering a class to help train people how to use an overdose emergency kit.
The Chamber Manitowoc County, Healthiest Manitowoc County, and the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NEWAHEC) will offer a Lunch and Learn class tomorrow (November 13th) from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm at the NEWAHEC office on York Street in Manitowoc.
Members who attend will learn about local overdose statistics, addiction stigma reduction, and Naloxone Training.
Everyone will also get an emergency overdose kit for a business or organization.
Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is a type of medicine that reverses an opioid overdose.
There is no fee for the class.
