The Manitowoc County Fish and Game Association is reminding hunting and conservation groups about FORWARD endowment applications being available.
The FORWARD, or Friends of Resources, Wildlife, and Recreation Development Endowment, is given every year to an outdoor-related organization that wants to improve or help the environment.
The endowment was completely redesigned to a new unitrust format that gives the group more flexibility in funding projects that are important to the community.
The new format allows for funding for larger projects if deemed appropriate to the overall goal of the trust and needs of the community.
Project requests will be evaluated on project quality, community needs, and funding review.
Leede Research will again coordinate the gifting process and aid in filing grant request materials.
The actual selection of grants will be made at the Gift Committee’s meeting in March next year.
The data allows the Gift Committee to have accurate information on funds available from the trust which is managed by Associated Bank.
