An Oshkosh man will be going to trial for a deadly hit and run last month.
21-year-old Drake Dodge was in court yesterday, where Winnebago County Judge Scott Woldt found probable cause in the case and had him bound over for trial.
During his appearance, he also waived his right at a preliminary hearing.
The 21-year-old is facing a felony charge of hit and run causing death.
The incident took place on October 5th when a man was found lying in the road near New York Avenue and Algoma Boulevard in Oshkosh.
A witness noticed the victim and called police; however, the individual was later pronounced dead.
Following the incident, Drake turned himself in and admitted to hitting the man, saying he pulled over after and was freaking out and unsure of what he should do.
If convicted, Drake could spend up to 25 years in prison.
He is next due in court on January 13th for his arraignment.
