Another area hospital has been given a high safety grade rating.
Bellin Health announced that they also received an “A” grade for hospital safety by the Leapfrog Group for the 13th year.
Leapfrog looks at over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections.
They also looked at the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
Bellin Regional President Chris Woleske says of the grade, “Patient safety will always be our top priority as we continue our relentless work to deliver the high-quality care our patients have come to know and trust.”
Leapfrog is the only group that’s focused on preventing medical errors and other problems that kill more than 500 patients a year.
