Mary Ann Meyer, age 93 formerly of Newton and a resident of Felician Village for the past three years, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 13, 2024 at St. Mary’s Home Manitowoc.
Mary Ann was born on February 7, 1931 in Kohler, daughter of the late William and Hilaria (Leonhard) Dreps. She grew up in Kohler and was a 1949 graduate of Kohler High School. On August 19, 1950, Mary Ann was married to Theodore “Ted” J. Meyer at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. The couple farmed all their married life residing in Newton from 1968 until Mary Ann moved to Manitowoc in June of 2021.
Mary Ann was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Newton, and the St. Thomas Altar Guild. She enjoyed gardening and baking.
Survivors include her five children: Lariann Dose, Mishicot, Harley (Linda) Meyer, Manitowoc, Ted (Carol) Meyer, Valders, Dale (Kate) Meyer, Lake Geneva, Fran “Slim” (Wendy) Meyer, Collins; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law: Eugene Meyer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Hilaria Dreps; her husband: Ted J. Meyer; one son-in-law: James Dose; one grandson: Rick Meyer; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Gilbert and Rose Meyer; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Rose (Don) Rumpff, Carol (Joseph) Meyer; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: George (Martha) Meyer, Leonard Meyer, Gilbert (Loretta) Meyer, Mary Meyer.
A Funeral service to celebrate Mary Ann’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton, with Rev. David Beaudry officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial, with burial at St. Fidelis Cemetery in the town of Meeme. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name.
