The Two Rivers Police Department recently received a generous donation from a local toy maker.
Rick Brunner, the owner of Rick’s Toybox, hand-crafted over 150 toy cars and three sets of handmade games and puzzles for the department.
The toys will distributed to students at Magee, Koenig, and LB Clarke schools by the school resource officers.
The Two Rivers Police Department stated of the donation “These games and puzzles will be used as good ice breakers and tools when talking with kids, helping open up conversations. The rest of the donated cars will be used for the Cool City Christmas event, given out at the PD or kept in our squad cars.”
It was also noted that Rick will attend the annual Shop with a Cop event in December, where he will give out even more wooden toys and craft some others with the children.
