A 17-year-old online student from the Auburndale School District has been arrested for possessing a firearm in a school zone.
Alden Jensen, who was not attending school in person, was found to have brought an AR-style .22 caliber rifle onto school property.
The rifle was later moved to a nearby residence, and deputies discovered ammunition in Jensen’s vehicle.
No threats were made, and Jensen told authorities the gun had been in his car following a weekend firearms safety lesson.
He is currently being held in the Wood County Jail while authorities continue their investigation.
