The city of Two Rivers is hiring a group to help find their next city manager.
Monday night (November 18th), the city council voted 6-1 to authorize a contract with Public Administration Associates (PAA).
City Manager Greg Buckley explained to Seehafer News that they will oversee advertising for the position and find finalists for the job.
“That group is headed up by Kevin Brunner who’s a former city administrator in De Pere and Whitewater,” he explained.
“(He’d) also served in other Wisconsin communities.”
Buckley announced that he will retire in August of next year, which means he will have been city manager for 30 years.
The City Manager Recruitment and Selection Committee was created and run by some of the council members and will fully oversee the hiring process.
According to city documents, Council President Scott Stechmesser recommended Public Administration Associates because of their presentation to the committee, providing video of candidates, and that they interview members of the common council to see what they are looking for in their next city leader.
PAA and a second group gave presentations to the recruitment committee back on November 6th.
