On the opening night of the girls high school basketball season, Valders would come up short against Sheboygan Lutheran.
In what was a rematch of the Vikings WIAA sectional matchup last year, the result would be the same for Valders, falling to the Crusaders 30 to 45.
Sheboygan Lutheran was powered to the win by their top two returning scorers from last season Addy Verhagen and Taylor Brigham.
Meghan Hockhammer led the way for the Vikings on offense however, they struggled to get things going early.
Trailing 20-10 at half, the Vikings came out stronger in the 2nd, but so did the Crusaders.
A short memory is needed for Valders however as they have a quick turnaround to face Luxembourg Casco tomorrow evening.
