Two Division Four State Champion Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers Girls Volleyball team members have been named to The Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Team.
Sophomore Ava Stuebs was named to the Division Four First Team.
She led the Lancers in several statistical categories this season, including digs, digs per set, serving aces, aces per set, kills, and hitting percentage.
Her teammate, junior Marissa Melhorn, was named Honorable Mention-Division Four All-State.
She finished this season second on The Lancers in Kills and kills per set and third in hitting percentage, total blocks, digs, digs per set, and receptions.
Manitowoc Lutheran finished this season 37 and 8, winning their first-ever WIAA team championship in school history, defeating Regis (Eau Claire) in five sets on November 9th at The Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
Honorable mention and recognition in Division One go to sophomores Mollie Junk and Abby Weidmayer of Manitowoc Lincoln.
Other local and area athletes named to The WVCA All-State Team are senior Maykayla Dallas of Valders. The EWC player of the year was given Honorable Mention recognition in Division Three.
Joining Dallas are senior Kayla Hlinka of Mishicot, junior Ava Rothe of Kiel, senior Madisyn Johnson and sophomore Lauren Lueth of Cedar Grove-Belgium, senior Eliana Brenn, and senior Sam Navis of Oostburg.
Navis’ teammate, senior Greta Vorpahl, was named Division Three All-state First Team along with senior Audrey Weier of Bonduel.
Junior Sofia Rodriguez of Sheboygan Christian is on the Division Five All-State First team, as is senior Abby Kirchner of Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran.
Her teammates, seniors Lexie Meerstein and Emma Laatsch, were given Honorable Mention recognition, as was Sheboygan Christian junior Lydia Neeb.
Five members of Division Two runner-up Luxemburg Casco are on the team. Junior Alayna Deprez and sophomore Aubrey Frey were named Division Two All-State first team. In contrast, seniors Ella Vander Velden, Campbell Onell, and junior Rylan Kaminski were given Honorable Mention recognition.
Seniors Natalie Field and Maddie Wolfram of Notre Dame (Green Bay) were also named Honorable Mention in Division Two, and several FRCC athletes joined Manitowoc Lincoln’s Junk and Weidmayer on The Division One Honorable Mention squad.
They are senior Braylin Bosetski of De Pere, Green Bay Southwest seniors Alexa Hernandez and Morgan Stewart, and senior Kendra Shimon of Bayport.
Other area athletes on this team are sophomore Lauren Tisler of West De Pere, senior Madison Daley of Xavier (Appleton), senior Madison Tripp of Kaukauna, and Kimberly senior Ava Reis.
