A woman from Madison has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for her involvement in fentanyl trafficking.
Simmeka Tibbs, who pleaded guilty in August, was sentenced earlier this week.
According to prosecutors, Tibbs acted as a delivery person for co-defendant Lildre Brown, transporting fentanyl on his behalf.
On one occasion, she brought a young child along during a drug transaction.
Brown, her co-defendant, was sentenced to over seven years in prison earlier this month.
