The city of Manitowoc has been chosen for a Voting Equipment Audit.
The audit will take place on Monday (November 25th) at 11:00 am at Manitowoc City Hall in the Council Chambers.
The voting machine being audited is for counts in Wards 19 and 20, which used Elections Systems and Software DS200 and the ExpressVote voting system.
The city says the reporting unit and contests were randomly selected by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
City Clerk Mackenzie Reed says the WEC checks 375 machines around the state every year, and Manitowoc just happened to be one of them.
It’s required by law that election equipment is checked to make sure it’s worked properly.
