Manitowoc United Hockey will be opening its season this weekend and collecting funds for a young fan.
Silas Keeling is a 7-year-old from Two Rivers who was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia.
Silas is a devoted hockey fan, and his brother Myles Dekok, the team’s leading scorer last season, played on the varsity team.
There will be a 50/50 raffle and basket sales where the funds will go towards helping Silas with medical expenses.
United will be facing Notre Dame beginning at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday at the Manitowoc County Ice Center located at 4931 Expo Dr Manitowoc.
Admission to the game this Saturday will be $5 for adults $3 for children and high school students showing their ID get in for free.
