Some bus fares in Green Bay will cost more beginning in 2025.
Green Bay Metro has announced that last week the city’s Transit Commission passed an increase to five bus fares which will go into effect January 1st.
Fares for adult weekly and 30-day passes have increased by $1 and $2, respectively.
Student 30-day passes have also been increased by $2 to $28. Reduced 30-day passes, and paratransit agency fares are also being raised by $2.
A 30-day public comment period on the proposed fare hikes began on October 16th.
After 30 days, the Green Bay Transit Commission held a formal public hearing last week to discuss the potential changes.
At the conclusion of that hearing, the motion to increase bus fares was passed.
