The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department was named the recipient of a grant from the Packers Foundation.
Last week, the Packers Foundation honored 398 civic and charitable organizations, including Two Rivers Parks and Rec, inside the Lambeau Field Atrium.
At the event, Two Rivers was given a $3,000 grant, which will go towards building new dugouts at one of the city’s little league baseball fields.
At the Event, Two Rivers Parks and Rec Director Mike Mathis was presented the check by former Packer and Super Bowl Champion Dorsey Levens.
The dugouts will be built in partnership with the Two Rivers High School construction and art classes.
This year, the Packers Foundation handed out nearly 400 grants worth $1.5 million with a focus on projects in the areas of arts and culture, athletics, and education.
After being awarded the grant, Two Rivers Parks and Recreation thanked the Two Rivers School District for making this possible.
