The Christmas season officially kicks of in Manitowoc tomorrow night (November 27th).
The annual Lakeshore Holiday Parade will run through downtown Manitowoc starting at 6:30 p.m., with a sensory-sensitive zone on Washington Street between South 14th and South 12th Streets.
The parade will continue toward 8th Street, where floats will turn north and continue on 8th Street to the Rahr West Art Museum.
The museum will also have some festivities planned, including the ever-popular Christmas celebration at the Mansion. Santa Claus will be on hand starting at 4:30 p.m.
He will have to leave to participate in the parade, but he will stick around the museum afterward for more meet and greets.
The Vilas-Rahr mansion will be filled with holiday decorations, and the public is invited to enjoy the exhibit through January 5th, however it will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
If you are unable to attend the parade, Craig Dillon and Zylia Kleinfeldt will describe each float on 107.9 FM WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com.
