The Green Bay Correctional inmate charged with killing his cellmate has been bound over for trial.
According to court documents, now 25-year-old Jackson Vogel could face a Brown County jury as early as January 27th, with his final pre-trial set for January 3rd.
Vogel is currently in the Brown County Correctional Institute after an attempted homicide on a family member in Manitowoc County.
He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 40 years.
Vogel is now charged in the death of his cellmate, 19-year-old Micah Laureano.
Prosecutors allege that Vogel killed Laureano because of his sexuality and his race while they shared a cell.
A guard later found Laureano hanging in the cell.
Vogel is charged with 1st-degree intentional homicide with a hate crime enhancer.
