The City of Two Rivers is set to begin its annual tree-trimming program in the coming weeks.
T.R.U. Electric will begin pruning trees in early December and will continue until March of next year.
This time around, Two Rivers will focus on the city’s eastside and prune trees that have grown into power lines.
Two Rivers is broken into quadrants, and each year, the city trims trees in one area.
The program will focus on the southside next year.
Without adequate clearance between trees and power lines, contact between them can cause radio or television interference and even power outages.
These problems are especially problematic in conditions of severe winds or heavy ice or snow loadings.
Crews will clean up any debris left over following their work unless a resident requests that they be left on site.
