The Sheboygan Jaycees are set to host their annual Holiday Parade this weekend in partnership with Lake 98.1.
The Holiday Parade takes place every year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and this year, it will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the 1st of December.
The parade route will begin at the intersection of Center Avenue and 7th Street, going north on 7th to Erie Avenue.
It will then turn west on Erie until 8th Street before heading South.
The parade will come to an end at Mead Public Library for the Sheboygan Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The Sheboygan Jaycees will also be giving out cash prizes to the top three parade entries this year, with $150 going to 1st place, $100 to 2nd, and $50 for the 3rd place finisher.
This year’s parade theme is “Christmas Costumes” and those participating and in attendance are encouraged to dress up as any Christmas-themed item or holiday movie character, excluding Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The Parade will also have The Girl Scouts accepting donations for the Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County and the U.S. Postal Service collecting letters to be delivered to Santa.
For those unable to make it to the parade, a live broadcast of the festivities can be heard on Lake 98.1 FM beginning at 5:00 p.m.
