The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall of cucumbers following a Salmonella outbreak.
According to the FDA, SunFed Produce branded cucumbers sold between October 12th and November 26th have been recalled.
The cucumbers in question were shipped to 26 states nationwide, including Wisconsin.
The CDC reports that 68 people across the country have become infected with Salmonella, three of which are Wisconsin residents.
Recalled individual cucumbers may have a sticker that reads, “SunFed Mexico.”
Anyone who has purchased the possible infectious cucumbers is advised not to eat, sell, serve, or distribute them but rather throw them out.
It is also recommended that any surface or container that may have come into contact with the cucumbers be cleaned and sanitized.
