No one was hurt following a fire in Two Rivers.
The Two Rivers Fire Department was called to the 2600 block of Monroe Street yesterday (December 2nd) just before 9:00 a.m. on reports of a house fire.
The call advised Two Rivers firefighters that smoke and flames were coming from the home.
When crews arrived, they encountered heavy smoke from the front of the residence; however, all occupants had evacuated the home thanks to working smoke detectors.
The flames were contained to the basement, but the property damage is estimated at $100,000.
No injuries to the occupants or responding fire crews were reported.
Following the incident, Two Rivers Fire Captain Patrick Krajnik thanked MABAS Division 128 Units, Two Rivers PD, and Two Rivers Utilities for their assistance in the response.
