The former Ripon Area Fire District Chief is facing fraud charges.
Fox 11 reports that Timothy Saul was charged with ten counts of unauthorized use of identifying information, one count of theft, and another ten counts of forgery.
According to a criminal complaint, Saul used the fire department’s card for personal bills, baseball games, and hotel visits.
The Ripon Area Fire Department president discovered the issues with the card after Saul allegedly had a separate credit card issued to him when he was fire chief.
At one point, the balance on the card was $36,000, which was all a personal purchases, according to Saul.
His first court date is set for December 30th.
