The Manitowoc Lutheran Girls basketball team is ranked eighth in the initial wissports.net Division Four Girls Basketball Coaches Poll released Wednesday.
The Lancers are 3 and 0 to begin the season, recording victories over Brillion, Two Rivers, and Roncalli, winning by an average margin of 28 points per game.
They begin a three-game homestand Thursday night when they welcome the Zephyrs of St. Mary Catholic to Lancer Circle for an early season showdown of not only the favorites to win The Big East North but a matchup of two of the top teams in Division Four.
The Zephyrs are also off to a 3 and 0 start and are ranked third in the D-4 coaches’ poll.
Game time is scheduled for 7:15 p.m., with the Junior Varsity scheduled to tip at 5:50 p.m.
