Michele Terry Schmidt, 75, of Reedsville passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay with family by her side.
Michele was born on October 23, 1949 in Racine to Wallace and Marguerite (Rocheleau) Terry. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School in Racine, and furthered her education at Silver Lake College, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. On May 15, 1971, she married Paul Schmidt in Racine. Michele worked at Bio-Technical Resources for over 40 years, retiring as Vice President of Operations.
Michele was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. She was an avid reader and enjoyed dancing, gardening, making desserts, and cherished spending time with her family.
Michele is survived by her husband: Paul; children: Steig (Kristen) Schmidt, Lenka (Michael) Hougen, and Arah Schimdt; grandchildren: Marann (special friend Orlando) Schmidt, Mallory (Trey) Peitersen, Cole (special friend Alexia) Schmidt, Keagan Hougen, and Paden Hougen; great-granddaughter: Alyana Peitersen; three sisters: Jeanne (Neal) Pelz, LuAnn Conley, and Rhonda (Tom) Kramer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Shann (Dave) Schwartz, Steve (Lori) Schmidt, and Bill (Sylvia) Schmidt; and nieces and nephews: Amelia, Morgan, Gaya, Marisa, Bria, Edward, DJ, Skip, Christopher, Deedy, Creig, Bryce, Bret, Kelly, Nathan, Nick, Hannah, Cora, and Will. Michele was preceded in death by her parents: Wallace and Marguerite (Rocheleau) Terry; two brothers: Lawrence Terry and Edward (Barb) Terry; parents-in-law: Raymond and Anna Jane (Iverson) Schmidt; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Pat Conley, Connie (Dale) Holschbach and Keith Fischer; and nephew: Levi Terry.
A funeral service to celebrate Michele’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 255 Roosevelt Street, with Rev. Daniel Lyman officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. An inurnment will take place at a later date at Knollwood Memorial Park.
