Roger D. Temme, age 91 of Manitowoc, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Harbor View Assisted Living.
Roger was born July 28, 1933 in Kiel, WI son of the late William C. and Dorothy M. (Husting) Temme. He graduated with the class of 1951 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Roger served with Company A Red Arrow National Guard from 1950 – 1957. On July 14, 1956 he married the former Arloene H. Polansky at Valders West Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2021. Roger was employed with White House Milk Corporation for twenty-five years, the Manitowoc Company for seven years and then Manitowoc Wastewater Treatment Plant for ten years until his retirement. Roger was a member of the Clipper City Chordsmen for forty years, member of the Two Mans Golf League at Meadow Links Golf Course, Manitowoc.
Roger is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Terri Temme, Manitowoc, Tammi (Doug) Henning, Brillion; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Todd (Mary) Temme, Francis Creek, Tracey Temme, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Meagan Savia, Collin Bastian, Dylan Temme; seven great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Chelsea, Cole, Quinn, Harper, Hailey, Hudson; one sister: Dorothy Voss, Manitowoc; four sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Jim) Neumeyer, rural Valders, Diane (Ron) Greuel, Manitowoc, Ginny (Joe) Weber, St. Nazianz, Kathy (Greg) Delsman, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law: Wayne (Jo) Polansky, LA, Kenny Evenson, rural Valders, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Dorothy Temme; his wife: Arloene Temme; two grandsons: Blake Bastian, Hunter Temme; one great-grandson: Carter Popp; three brothers: Bill Temme, Donald Temme, Gene Temme; one sister: Ardith Novak; one sister-in-law: Betty Evenson; three brothers-in-law: Fritz Voss, Roy (Hack) Novak, Jeff Polansky.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate. Inurnment of his cremated remains will take place at a later date. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
