Two Rivers’ City Manager is thanking everyone for their part in the search for 7-year-old Jacob Baer.
Greg Buckley shared a message with Seehafernews.com about the community sending condolences to his family and friends during their grieving time.
He also thanked the first responders who helped in the search for the boy.
Buckley expressed thanks to, “Neighboring communities, Manitowoc city, Manitowoc County, Mishicot, Wisconsin DNR, Brown County, Green Bay PD, De Pere PD, Brillion, and the dog teams that came in.”
Like Two Rivers Police, Buckley reminds everyone to exercise caution when it comes to ice on waterways.
Police say that there is no such thing as 100% safe ice.
The Two Rivers Council held a moment of silence for Baer before they started their meeting on Monday (December 2nd).
Baer’s body was pulled from the West Twin River after he left his parents’ sight while in Veterans Park.
