A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly attacked someone she lives with and a police officer.
Manitowoc Police dispatched officers to a residence just before 6:30 Tuesday night (December 3rd) on a report of a physical altercation.
The victim told officers the 27-year-old woman had smashed some items in the suspect’s room before grabbing a mirror off of the wall and attempting to hit the victim with it.
She also slapped and punched the victim before police arrived.
The woman was taken into custody without incident, but as the woman was being escorted into a local hospital, she began lurching at officers, pulling her arms away from them, and thrashing her arms.
Hospital staff were able to get an evidentiary blood draw before she was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Battery and Disorderly Conduct, each as domestic violence offenses, as well as Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
