Overall, calls for service in the Manitowoc Police Department have been down compared to last year.
Numbers from Manitowoc Police say there were 2,175 calls for service in November this year compared to 2,654 last year, a difference of 479 calls.
Total calls for service are still down compared to last year, with 28,786 compared to 30,553 by this time last year.
The numbers for generating incident reports are also down. Adult criminal charges are lower than this time last year.
About 162 fewer adults were charged, with 1,704 in November 2024 compared to 1,866 in November 2023.
The only statistic that’s up is juvenile criminal charges.
There were 222 juvenile charges last month compared to November 2023, when the number was 197.
Manitowoc Police also gave out more tickets in November 2024 compared to the year before.
500 more traffic tickets were given away this year, as well as 76 more ordinance violations.
