Hundreds of thousands of Honda SUVs have been recalled for issues creating an increased fire risk.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that over 205,000 2023-24 Honda Passports and 2023-25 Honda Pilots have been recalled for fuel leaks.
According to the NHTSA, the vehicles may have an incomplete connection between the fuel filler neck tube and the fuel filler pipe.
This defect can cause fuel leaks which lead to an increased risk of fire for the vehicles.
Any owner of a Honda Pilot or Passport from these years is permitted to bring their vehicle into a Honda dealer for inspection and possible repair if necessary.
The inspection and potential repair will come at no cost to the car owner.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed out on January 6th next month.
