The Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers girls’ basketball team continues their three-game homestand as they play host to the Kewaunee Storm in a non-conference early season showdown.
The Lancers, ranked eighth in the wissports.net Division Four coaches’ poll, are coming off a 76 to 72 victory over St. Mary Catholic Thursday night at Lancer Circle, which ran their record to 4 and 0 on the season.
Manitowoc Lutheran is getting it done offensively, with four players averaging double figures, led by senior “G” Ermis at 17-point-seven points per game.
Juniors Marissa Melhorn and Makiah Krause are averaging 15-point-seven 12-point-seven points per game respectively, and senior Addison Korte scores about 11-and-a-half points per game.
Kewaunee, from The Packerland Conference, is off to a 3 and 0 start and hasn’t played since Tuesday night when they defeated Gibraltar 61 to 21.
Much like The Lancers, the Storm are young and talented, led by juniors Jadelynn Kroll and Gabrielle Stangel, averaging 19 and 13-point-three points per game, respectively.
The Storm won last year’s meeting in Kewaunee handily 66 to 45.
The tip time is set for 1:00 p.m. at Lancer Circle.
