The Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Corn Promotion board has officially opened voting for a new member to be added to their board.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection certified three nominees, Cal Dalton, Casey Kelleher, and Whilden R. Hughes, as eligible for the election.
All corn producers in Districts 4, 8, & 9 have until January 10th, 2025, to cast their vote.
From Endeavor, the District 4 nominee for Adams, Columbia, Juneau, Marquette, Monroe, and Waushara counties is Cal Dalton.
The district 8 nominee for the counties of Jefferson, Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth is Casey Kelleher of Whitewater, and the district 9 nominee for Green and Rock counties is Whilden R. Hughes of Janesville.
The DATCP has distributed mail-in ballots to the corn producers who live in the three affected districts.
If there are any corn producers from districts 4, 8, or 9 who don’t receive their ballot by December 18th, it is advised to request a ballot via email at DATCPMarketOrders@wisconsin.gov.
When a voting ballot is completed, it must be signed and sent to WI DATCP Market Orders Program, P.O. Box 8911, Madison, WI 53708.
The election results will be officially announced shortly after January 10th.
