The Rahr West Art Museum is preparing to host an exhibit called Essential Creativity: The Self-Taught Art of Rudy Rotter.
The exhibit will showcase a variety of two- and three-dimensional media, and illustrate major themes of Rotter’s work, including family and humanity.
His work often incorporates found objects, either scavenged or gifted by the ever-evolving manufacturing corporations of Manitowoc.
The exhibit will be open for viewing from December 8th through February 16th, and the museum will also host an open reception on December 15th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
This is free and open to the public and will feature presentations from co-curators Randy Rotter, the son of Rudy Rotter, and Diana Bolander, the Assistant Director of the Rahr-West Art Museum.
