Seehafer Broadcasting is looking to help a local non-profit this Christmas season.
Every year, Jenny Kanieski organizes a supply drive for a non-profit.
This year, the beneficiary is The Haven Men’s Homeless Shelter.
On top of the holiday season being a hard time for men experiencing homelessness, The Haven is also celebrating its 10th year.
Jenny tells us they are more than just a homeless shelter for men.
“They not only provide them a place to stay, but they offer them tools to become self-sufficient,” she explained. “They will give the resource referrals, help them find jobs, and get life skills.”
As for why The Haven was selected this year, Jenny says, “Several members of out staff are involved there, and they are doing a good thing for the community, helping people get back on their feet.”
Donations can be dropped off unwrapped at the Seehafer Broadcasting Studios, located at 3730 Mangin Street in Manitowoc.
There is a wide array of items on the wish list, which can be found at WOMTRadio.com.
If you would prefer, monetary donations are also being accepted.
The supply drive will run through December 20th, so The Haven can have the items in time for Christmas.
