The Roncalli girls’ basketball team was on the road last night (December 10th) to face a tough Sheboygan Lutheran squad.
It was the second of a three-game road trip for the Jets, who fell to the Crusaders 60-40.
Roncalli came out hot, getting an early 8-0 lead in the first few minutes.
However, Sheboygan Lutheran would finish the half on a 23-6 run, and the Jets found themselves down 9 at the break.
Despite the absence of star forward Taylor Brigham for the Crusaders, Lutheran put in a total team performance.
Things got better in the second half for Roncalli, as 5 of senior guard Laren Stengel’s seven threes came in the second half.
The Crusaders did better in the second half on both ends of the floor.
23 turnovers on the night for Roncalli proved to be the difference maker.
It will be a short turnaround for the Roncalli girls, as they travel to Valders tomorrow (December 12th).
