Crescent Woolen Mills and Intertwined in Two Rivers have partnered to create handmade blankets, hats, scarves, mittens, and other warm items for the Manitowoc Warming Shelter.
This collaboration has grown into a compassionate community effort, with local fiber artists from Two Rivers, Manitowoc, and the surrounding areas coming together to donate supplies and time.
Crescent Woolen Mills provided all the wool yarn needed for the projects, but as word spread, local artists began contributing their own fibers to complement the donated yarn.
The group is currently seeking individuals with basic sewing skills who can help stitch the large pieces of woven material together.
They gather every two weeks, with their upcoming meetings scheduled for December 17th, January 7th, and January 21st.
