It was a rough night for the Manitowoc United hockey team, as they fell to the De Pere Voyagers 6-0 Saturday night.
De Pere got off to a fast start, scoring three in the first period, and kept the momentum building from there.
The second period had a change of pace with both teams being held scoreless, but De Pere continued applying hefty offensive pressure.
Going into the final frame, De Pere continued to apply their offensive pressure and scored three more goals and shut out Manitowoc with a final score of 6-0, with a hat trick from the Voyager’s leading scorer, Grant Butrymowicz.
Senior goalie Dan Karlin was the undoubted player of the game for United, as he saved 46 of the 52 shots he faced.
United will be back at home next Saturday night (December 21st) to take on Ashwaubenon at the Manitowoc County Ice Center at 5:30 p.m.
