The Wisconsin DNR is asking the public for comment about some proposed changes to deer management unit boundaries.
The draft rule would allow the DNR to carry out the changes being proposed as part of this year’s deer management unit review process.
In general, the rule proposes a return to habitat-based deer management units in certain zones.
The public is encouraged to visit the DNR’s webpage, dnr.wisconsin.gov, for a link to the draft rules and details.
There will be a virtual public hearing on the rule changes on January 8th at 5:00 p.m.
Comments can be submitted by January 10th and sent to the Wisconsin DNR Office in Madison.
