Lakeland University has announced an international partnership with a university in the United Kingdom.
Last week, Lakeland and Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales signed a global exchange partnership.
This partnership will create a wide range of study-abroad opportunities for students at both schools.
Dr. Leili Afsah-Hejri, assistant professor of chemistry and food safety & quality at Lakeland was a large proponent in making this partnership possible.
After the announcement, Afsah-Hejri said, “This collaboration represents a monumental step forward for our food safety and quality program and beyond.”
She continued, “We look forward to seeing how this partnership will enrich our programs and create opportunities for students that truly make a difference.”
Lakeland hopes to extend the program in the future to include graduate programs as well.
The university is currently working with faculty in other countries to explore similar partnerships abroad.
