As people are getting ready to hit the road for the holiday season, the gas prices in Eastern Wisconsin have spiked.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County saw a ten-cent jump in the average price per gallon of fuel compared to this time last week.
The local average is now at $2.80 per gallon, the same price reported in Sheboygan, which is up seven cents from last week.
Meanwhile, Calumet and Brown Counties each reported eleven-cent jumps to $2.86 and $2.80, respectively, and Kewaunee County’s average is up seven cents to $2.81.
However, Outagamie County saw no change, remaining at $2.74, while Door County actually reported a once-cent drop to $2.78.
The state average is up four cents to $2.77, while the national average remained unchanged at $3.02.
