The two people accused of giving a child the “worst whooping ever” are still in the Manitowoc County Jail.
29-year-old Dijonte C. Lockbridge was given a $5,000 cash bond on a single charge of Physical Abuse of a Child Causing Great Bodily Harm.
30-year-old Steven J. Juliana also received a $5,000 cash bond as he faces charges of Physical Abuse of a Child Causing Great Bodily Harm, Strangulation and Suffocation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The investigation into the incident began earlier this month when a child told their school that they weren’t going to class because they got the “worst whooping ever.”
It was learned that Lockbridge became infuriated when the child took gummy bears from her room, and began beating the child with a belt.
Juliana allegedly joined in the attack, kicking the child and holding them up against a wall while Lockbridge continued the attack.
Both were ordered to have no contact with each other or the two children involved, and to maintain absolute sobriety.
Both are due back in court on December 23rd for their initial appearances.
