Waukesha has joined the list of locations with confirmed drone sightings.
Last Friday, a Waukesha County deputy reported spotting a drone flying above the county courthouse.
While there was no indication of suspicious activity, the drone’s proximity to the courthouse raised concerns as it was flying dangerously close to the Waukesha County Airport.
According to regulations, drones are prohibited from flying within five miles of an airport, and the Waukesha airport is located just half a mile from the courthouse.
The identity of the drone’s operator and their intentions remain unknown.
This sighting follows a trend of similar reports of drone activity along the East Coast, with numerous sightings occurring almost every night.
