The National Weather Service of Green Bay has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Manitowoc, Kewaunee, and Door Counties from Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
The Warning goes into effect at noon Thursday and remains in effect until Friday at 9 a.m., where 6 to 10 inches of snow are expected, possibly a foot or more, with lake enhancement along The Lake Michigan shoreline.
Snow is expected to begin falling Thursday morning and increase in intensity throughout the day, with the heaviest accumulations expected to occur late Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.
Travel could become very difficult and impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
People are recommended to stay home, but motorists are encouraged to keep an emergency kit inside their vehicle with a flashlight (s), food, water, phone battery charger, and road flares if they must travel.
It’s also recommended that you tell someone you can trust your expected travel route and when you arrive at your planned destination.
