Manitowoc County will be making changes to its emergency notification system.
Manitowoc County Emergency Services Division has announced that beginning January 1st, they will be switching to the mass notification system called Everbridge.
With the new Everbridge system, everyone with a cell phone will still get emergency alerts.
However, unlike the old system, Everbridge will also reach out to residents with landlines.
Residents are asked to create an online account with Everbridge.
When signing up, individuals will be able to customize language settings for notifications and explain any special needs circumstances in their household in the event of an evacuation.
Manitowoc County citizens can sign up for the new Mass Notification System by visiting member.everbridge.net and clicking the “Sign Up” option.
