A significant theft occurred in Marshfield over the weekend, as criminals managed to “jackpot” ATMs and make off with up to $100,000.
Authorities report that the incident occurred at the Simplicity Credit Union, where a device was installed on one of the ATMs, allowing the perpetrators to hack into the machine and withdraw large sums of money.
Marshfield Police estimate that between $60,000 and $100,000 was stolen.
While no suspects or vehicle descriptions have been released, law enforcement urges anyone who may have witnessed the event to provide information.
