Junior Achievement (JA) is set to hold a competition for young business minds in the area, next month.
The Northeast JA Young Entrepreneur Competition will be held in Appleton on January 27th.
Student entrepreneurs will compete against one another from the region while pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges.
Four finalists will then be picked to present their ideas again for a chance to win a $2,000 cash prize.
The winner will also get an automatic bid to the statewide competition to be held in February in Milwaukee, where a $5,000 scholarship will be on the line.
Students in grades 9 through 12 who have operated a business since January of 2024 are eligible to apply.
The deadline to apply will be at noon on Monday, January 6th.
