The man arrested for an alleged attack on a woman and a child is still in the Manitowoc County Jail.
22-year-old Jonathan Gallegos was arrested the day after Christmas on charges of Battery, Strangulation/Suffocation, and Disorderly Conduct, each with Domestic Violence enhancers, Child Abuse – Recklessly Causing Harm, and two counts each of Misdemeanor and Felony Bail Jumping.
His bond was set at $1,000 cash, which he has yet to furnish.
The female victim had gone to Gallegos’ home to speak with him, but it turned into an argument, which eventually became physical.
Gallegos allegedly fled the scene in the victim’s car but was later apprehended.
He was due for an initial appearance on Monday, but that hearing was adjourned as Gallegos had not secured an attorney.
The hearing was rescheduled for Monday, January 6th.
