A local non-profit dedicated to helping children in the community is celebrating a major milestone.
2025 marks 60 years of helping the youth in the Sheboygan and Manitowoc communities for Big Brothers Big Sisters Wisconsin Shoreline.
In 1965, originally Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County was established, becoming the first Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in the state of Wisconsin.
Three years later, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County was opened, and in 2021, the two affiliates merged, becoming the Wisconsin Shoreline we know today.
In the past six decades of work in the community, they have served nearly 20,000 children by creating meaningful and impactful relationships.
