Man Jailed After Hit and Run in Manitowoc

A man crashed his car into four vehicles and a building in downtown Manitowoc last night and is in jail today. Police Captain Jeremy Kronforst reports the 35-year-old Two Rivers man tried to flee on foot but was apprehended by citizens who witnessed the wreckage.  Kronforst reports the incident happened at about 6:30 last night on North 8^th Street between Maritime Drive and Buffalo Street. Alcohol is suspected to be involved and the suspect is reported to be facing numerous charges, some of which are from other incidents than last night’s crash.
