There is only one Manitowoc County governmental meeting scheduled to start the week, and it’s not even in the county.
The Expo and Ice Center Board will be at the State Fair Conference at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells today (January 6th) and tomorrow.
The theme of the convention this year is “Fair Family Reunion,” and fair planners from around the state will be on hand to catch up about the past and relish what’s planned for the future.
On the docket for today will be an opening ceremony followed by the keynote speaker, Humanitarian, Business Leader, Award-Winning Social Innovator, and World Record Breaker, Ian Hill.
The local fair organizers will also learn about how to respond to emergencies and hazards, and ag education for schools.
The convention will continue tomorrow and Wednesday, with other education sessions planned.
