More details have been released regarding a major crash in Manitowoc over the weekend.
Police reports state that officers were called to the area of North 8th and York Streets at 6:30 Friday evening on a report of a vehicle striking at least three others.
Officers immediately detained the 35-year-old male driver of the vehicle, which had also struck a building, a tree, and a planter box.
The man chose not to speak with officers, refused a field sobriety test, and would not submit to an evidentiary blood draw.
The man was still taken to a local hospital, where he allegedly resisted officers, kicking at one of them before threatening to find one of the officers’ family.
A blood draw was conducted after Judge Mark Rohrer issued a warrant.
The man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail without any further incident on charges of OWI, his fourth offense, Resisting an Officer, Two Counts of Threats to Law Enforcement, and six counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
